Why Fly with Air Canada?

How to Check In?

There are three main ways to check in. Travellers can do an online check-in 24 hours before the flight. Do remember to print your own boarding pass prior to departure. Travellers would be able to change their frequent traveller/ Aeroplan number, check in when travelling as a part of group or apply for same-day flights. Travellers can also check-in 24 hours before the flight using their PDA, Blackberry or other mobile devices. Alternatively, check in at the airport kiosks. All you need is your booking reference or a form of identification. If you require help, you can check-in at the check-in desk at the airport. There are also self-service check-in kiosks which travellers can use if they don’t want to wait in the long queues.

Baggage Allowance & Fees

Travellers are entitled to carry one standard article and 1 personal article, both not weighing more than 10kg. There are different charges for travellers wishing to reach different destinations. The maximum free checked baggage is 23kg. Any weight above 23kg is chargeable. Prohibited items include corrosives, aerosols, explosives, inflammable liquids and solids, sharp instruments, firearms and compressed gases.

However, you would need to pay a service fee in addition to any changes to the price of your fare if you need to make changes to your booking, cancel a flight or buy a new ticket. Prices vary according to different factors such as which country you are in and how flexible your ticket is.

Inflight Services

The newer Air Canada aircraft have seat-back video screens at all seats with audio and video on demand, including XM Satellite Radio. Air Canada's regional jets and certain Boeing 767s and Airbus A319s have an older interior and do not have seat-back entertainment systems.
