How to Check In?
For domestic and international travellers, check-in counter opens 3 hours before the flight schedule and closes 45 mins prior to the scheduled flight departure. Passengers are expected to have a printout of the itinerary at the time of check-in. China Airlines also offers web check-ins enabling passengers to check in 24 hours to 3 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure. Passengers using this facility should arrive at the airport two hours prior to departure in order to pick up their boarding pass, drop off their checked baggage and go through immigration.
Baggage Allowance & Fees
The maximum weight for checked-in luggage for all domestic and international flight, excluding the US, Canada and Brazil routes, have been limited to 20 kg for Economy class, 30 kg for First Class and 40 kg for Business Class. It is important to note that the baggage policy for flights between Canada and Brazil varies. The maximum weight for unchecked luggage for First Class and Business Class passengers are limited to maximum 8 kg per passenger. The maximum weight limit for unchecked luggage for Economy Class is 5kg per passenger. First Class and Business Class passengers are entitled to bring two pieces of unchecked baggage aboard the flight while Economy Class passengers are entitled to only 1 piece of unchecked baggage. Prohibited items include corrosive, aerosols, explosives, inflammable liquids and solids, sharp instruments, firearms and compressed gases.
There are First class, Business class and Economy class seats on China Airlines. Specific seat requests are available for passengers at the time of purchase of airline tickets for a nominal fee. All Gold, Emerald and Paragon passengers who purchase their tickets from the China Airlines website with selective booking codes are entitled to enjoy the Priority Aisle Seat Selection privilege to pre-arrange seats on long-haul flights including to India. Passengers with First class tickets are entitled to sleep on the flat bed seats while Business class ticket holders are issued recliner seats with 130 degrees recline. In addition to the in-flight entertainment and food, China Airlines has gone the extra mile to equip their Dynasty Supreme Class on their A330-300 aircraft with adjustable seats for maximum comfort and privacy. The economy class is also fitted with the world's first lumbar air cushions which serves to provide their passengers with optimal support by automatically adjusting to their lower backs.
Passengers would be able to make their relevant reservations through the China Airlines online booking system and pay via their credit cards.
