Go Airlines (India) Ltd. is the aviation foray of the Wadia Group. The airline operates its services under the brand GoAir. It launched operations in November 2005. The airline currently operates across 21 destinations over 140 daily flights and approximately 975 weekly flights.
The GoAir route network spans prominent business metropolises as well as key leisure destinations across the Indian subcontinent. GoAir is currently servicing the airports at Ahmedabad, Bagdogra, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, Kochi, Kolkata, Leh, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Port Blair, Pune, Ranchi and Srinagar. Through this route network GoAir ensures a smart value-for-money option for both business and leisure travellers, without compromising on either safety or service factors.
GoAir is based on a 'punctuality, affordability and convenience' business model. The airline has also partnered with Radixx International, a leading technology provider of automated aviation and travel-related software solutions, for the use of its Air Enterprise. How to Check in
Tourists can opt for web check in as well as counter check-in. Counters open 2 hours prior to the scheduled departure time and guests should report at least 45 minutes before travel. Tourists need to report 90 minutes before departure in case of travel to Srinagar and 120 minutes when travelling to Bagdogra airport, due to security concerns. Passengers need to carry the print of their ticket which will be checked along with their photo ID at the time of entering the terminal. The check-in counter closes strictly before 45 minutes before the scheduled departure.
Baggage Fees and Allowances
GoAir baggage allowance varies for premium and regular seats. Premium seats allow check in baggage of up to 20 kg while regular seats limit check in baggage to 10 kg. With GoAir Web check-in, luggage can be checked in in advance.
GoAir does not provide any complimentary meals on flights, but offers buy-on board in-flight meal programmes. All the flights of GoAir have 3 seats for economy and flexi class and 2 seats for those travelling in business class. Passengers can pre book the seat of their choice at an additional price. Meals too can be pre booked at a discounted rate while booking the ticket online.
GoAir offers convenient option of flight booking through its online portal www.GoAir.in where passengers can book their tickets 24 hours a day, 365 days in a year. Tickets can also be booked from other distribution mediums including GoTravel Agents, via GoCallCentres or at the GoAir airport counters. For all online transaction a fee of Rs 100 is levied per passenger. Cancellation or modification of booked tickets attracts a fee of Rs 1500 in case of an adult.
Premium Class Services
Premium Class Services: An exclusive section of the airline, Go Business, is specially designed to cater to elite business travellers. This is a unique premium service, in which passengers receive special seats in the first two rows, and complimentary meals.
For regular and affordable tickets, the airline does not provide complimentary refreshments. However, refreshments can be purchased on board. Customers can also pre-book a combo meal on www.GoAir.in. Vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are available.
