How to Check In
Passengers are offered a couple of options of checking in for their departing flights. The most common method that will guarantee passengers convenience wherever they are is to check in online, requiring only a connection to the Internet. Checking in online will allow passengers to print out their boarding passes on the spot and be guaranteed a seat on the aircraft as early as 36 hours before the scheduled departure timing of their designated flights, having to only drop off their baggage at the airport counters. This would grant passengers an efficient airport experience by avoiding snaking queues at the conventional check in counters located within the airport itself. Early check in is also possible up to 8 hours before the scheduled flight. Do ensure that your entire party is present to be able to receive boarding passes.
Baggage Allowance and Fees
Complimentary baggage allowance is offered to passengers varying across partner airlines, and travel classes. On Oman Air flights, passengers are entitled baggage allowances starting from 30kg in the economy class, all the way to 50kg for passengers holding first class boarding passes. For partner airlines, however, complimentary baggage allowances start from 20kg in the economy class, up to 40kg for first-class passengers. Every piece of baggage is not encouraged to weigh over 32kg. These baggage guidelines are generally applied to all corresponding flights, but exceptions may arise should unforeseen circumstances such as difference in aircraft or unfavourable weather conditions be encountered. In terms of cabin baggage, passengers are allowed one piece of baggage each -- not more than 7kg on board all flights for the general economy class; and two pieces of baggage with the same weight rules applied on first and business class.
Seating selections will be made available to passengers upon booking of flights. Economy class passengers will enjoy a comfortable amount of space given ample leg room and reclining selections. Seats are also equipped with carefully padded covers to ease discomfort during the flight. In business and first class, however, fully flat beds are provided for each passenger, accompanied with plenty of room for them to stretch out at any given time. Bask in the luxury of space, and rest peacefully knowing that you are in good hands despite being away from home.
Booking fees may apply with each reservation, and corresponding changes to flight itineraries after it has been confirmed. All bookings are also subject to the relevant service charges and airport taxes, differing across all departure gateways.
Oman Air offers an extensive selection of inflight entertainment and services which will keep you occupied throughout your entire flight through the back-mounted LCD screens found in front of your seat. Entertainment selections include a constantly updated stream of movies, television shows, music playlists, reading materials, radio channels and even audio books. Expect complimentary amenities to be showered upon you on board your flight as the airline aims to enhance your flight experience up in the skies. Also, passengers can make purchases from the duty free selections available on board, and remain connected with their loved ones with the provision of inflight connectivity.
