Flights from Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad Airport is officially also identified as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, having been christened after its pioneer Prime Minister. Situated 9km from the city centre, the airport serves not only Ahmedabad, but also neighbouring Gandhinagar – both cities are in Gujarat. Today, Ahmedabad Airport enjoys comparatively high levels of passenger traffic in India; and hosts operations from its three main passenger terminals. Operations are separated into both domestic and international flights, with an additional terminal to cater to exceeding overflows. Some airlines found to have docked at Ahmedabad Airport include Air India, flydubai, JetKonnect and Singapore Airlines.

The most convenient way to get to the airport is by flagging a taxi from downtown. Otherwise, passengers can also opt for the more affordable option of bus shuttles offered by the Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service.
