Flights from Kolkata

Kolkata Airport, more appropriately known as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, sits approximately 20km away from downtown Kolkata and serves as the city’s main gateway today. Before receiving its name christened after one of the country’s influential leaders, the airport was previously recognised as Dum Dum Airport. It is one of the country’s primary gateways especially in the eastern region in India, due to its sheer magnitude and high levels of passenger traffic. The airport is also dedicated to connecting passengers around the northeastern cities of India internally and externally to the region of Southeast Asia. Comprising two main passenger terminals and one cargo terminal, Kolkata Airport also offers passengers a myriad of amenities to enhance convenience and comfort levels. Some of these include retail shops for last-minute gifts, duty-free selections, dining options for those craving a snack and baggage services.

To get to the airport from Kolkata centre, passengers may opt to take either a bus or a taxi. If you are coming by rail, drop at either Howrah station or Sealdah station and take a bus from there.
