Port Columbus International Airport, simply referred to as Port Columbus Airport is the primary airport serving Columbus in Ohio. A class C International airport, it located at a distance of 9.7 km from the city center and is owned and operated by Columbus Regional Airport Authority. The airport is at an elevation of 248 meters above sea level and has 2 asphalt runways measuring 3,086 meters and 2,438 meters. A major passenger airport, Port Columbus International Airport is the largest passenger airport in central Ohio. In the year 2014, the airport managed 6,355,974 passengers, 163,984 aircrafts and 5,205 tons of cargo, making it the second busiest airport in the state after Cleveland Hopkins International Airport. At present, the airport has 3 airport concourses in which Southwest Airline operate from Concourse A, Concourse B is used by American Airlines, US Airways, United Airlines, and Air Canada and Concourse C is utilized by Delta Airlines.
The airport first opened to public on July 8th, 1929 as eastern air terminus of the Transcontinental Air Transport air-rail. The airport still uses the historic air hangers and the original terminal building. A new terminal was opened on 21st September 1958 at the cost of $12 million. Jet airline flights started their operations from the airport in 1964. By April 1957 the airport was operating 72 airlines departures daily and it served as a hub for America West Airlines in the 1990's. The airport underwent massive renovation in 1979 at a cost of $70. A new control tower was inaugurated on 25th April 2004 and in the year 2013; the airport’s south runway was moved farther from the north runway at the cost of $140
Delta Airline which operates 37 scheduled flights daily is the most prominent airline operating from the airport. While Air Canada Express, American Airlines, American Eagle, Delta Connection, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, United Express, US Airways and US Airways Express operate regular passenger flights, Vacation Express operated by multiple airlines operates charter flights to and from the Port Columbus International Airport.

Travellers taking form from Port Columbus International Airport have multiple options of check-in.
