The Marrakech Menara Airport is a 21st century airport located in the midst of a city still close to its ancient roots. The Marrakech Menara Airport was first used as a hub during the Second World War by the United Air Forces Air Transport Command as a base for its cargo and the transmission of personnel and aircraft. It also served as a stopover route to Agadir Airport or the Casablanca Airfield. Today, the Marrakech Menara airport serves various airlines such as British Airways, easy Jet, Atlasjet, Air Berlin, Air France, Adria Airways, Lufthansa Airways, Brussels Airlines and Royal Air Maroc and maintaining direct flights to London-Gatwick, Brussels, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Vienna, Hamburg, Helsinki and Vienna. Seasonal flights are also provided to Zurich and Medina.

·         Recognition in 2013 for being amongst the Top Ten of the Best Airports in Africa. Skytrax recognized the Marrakech Menara Airport for this achievement at the prestigious Skytrax World Airports Awards gave this award.  The World Airports Awards presents this awards upon the conclusion of a poll from over 11 million passengers worldwide.

·         In 2014, the Travel Channel listed Terminal 1 of the Marrakech Menara Airport amongst the ten most iconic airports the world over.
