FAQs about Wynwood holidays
Wynwood didn’t have many hotels until just recently. The ones that have opened in the last few years are on the small, independent side and cater to the art and design set. You’ll find more hotel options in nearby downtown.
Wynwood is renowned for its world-famous street art and creative, bohemian vibe. But before the arts scene took off, it was known as ‘Little Puerto Rico’ and as the garment district. You can still spot many Puerto Rican flags around the neighbourhood.
Wynwood’s rising popularity makes it feel relatively safe, especially when there’s a big event going on, and the streets are filled with people. But do take care after dark by sticking to populated areas and well-lit streets.
