The Brussels South Charleroi Airport which is also known as Charleroi Airport or Gosselies Airport is a small airport located around 50 km from the main city and is under the control of Government of Walloon region. The annual capacity of the airport is 5 million passengers and this airport mainly caters to low cost airlines. In the year 2006, the Moroccan low-cost airline Jet4you launched three weekly flights to Casablanca in code-share cooperation with Belgian airline Jetairfly.
This is the second largest airport in Belgium and handled 6.51 million passengers and witnessed 84,313 aircraft movements in 2012. There is only one passenger terminal functional since 2008 and has seven airport gates, two baggage claim belts, 12 check-in desks, and security control zones along with 19 aircraft stands.
