Budapest is like taking a step back into time, it definitely feels like Eastern Europe with tall, looming buildings and giant windows. It is beautiful and welcoming.
An amazing city in so many ways. There’s loads of great culture here, but also some fantastic bars and restaurants. Plus it’s not super expensive.
This is where I started my trip from. Budapest has cheap connections with everywhere in Europe so you can fly here from Europe with Ryanair, Wizzair and other low-costers for as cheap as 10 euro one way. Also, Budapest is super developed, here you can stay in the great hotel, eat luxury food in Michelin restaurants for the last time before leaving to more "hard-core" countries in Balkans.
Amazing city with some of the most beautiful architecture I have seen in the whole Of Europe. The parliament building is the second largest in Europe (second to Romania) but in my opinion one of the most beautiful buildings I have ever seen. Be sure to check out the free walking tours that take place daily, they're probably the best that I've been to in Europe.
