History and Architecture
Jammu’s architecture is a blend of Hindu, Muslim and Tibetan/Buddhist architectural styles. Some notable structures are Shalimar Bagh, Bahu Fort, Chashme Shahi, Nishat Bagh, Thikse Monastery, Raghunath Temple, Shanti Stupa and Hazratbal Shrine.
Hari Market, Raghunath Bazaar and Vir Marg are famous markets in Jammu where one can buy traditional Dogra jewellery of Kashmir, dry fruits, Kashmiri handicrafts, pashmina, rugs and carpets, and Papier-mâchéand wooden items.
