Serving as the main gateway for both Turkish cities of Bodrum and Milas, the Milas-Bodrum Airport is located 36km and 16km shy of both city centres respectively. The Milas-Bodrum Airport, however, is more frequently recognised as just Bodrum Airport. Comprising two main passenger terminals, flight operations are divided into domestic and international destinations. The older terminal mainly hosts all domestic flights, which the newer modern terminal which was newly inaugurated in 2012 serves international operations. Within the airport, passengers will be able to located public amenities which the airport has offered while aiming to cater to your comfort and convenience away from home. These amenities are along the likes of retail and dining options, car rental services, currency exchange services, and information desks should you have a little inquiry. Some of the more prominent carriers which are found to have included Bodrum Airport as part of their flight routes include Turkish Airlines, British Airways, Atlasjet, and Lufthansa. How to get around

Although they do not operate corresponding to a regular fixed schedule, bus services are available and will take approximately 45 minutes to get you in the city. If you ae flying in via Turkish Airlines, however, do check out their shuttle service offered by HAVAS Coaches which will get you downtown as well. The most popular mode of transport from the airport to the town of Bodrum would be via a taxi.

Should you wish to rent a car from one of the handful of operators located on the airport grounds, do keep in mind that that you should be getting on the Highway D330 in order to get to both Bodrum and Milas efficiently.

Within the city proper, a minibus service called the Dolmus rules the transportation scene. Efficient and highly affordable, visitors coming into Bodrum should include rides on the Dolmus as part of their cultural experience.
