Detroit Metropolitan Airport has two terminals: McNamara and North. Delta and its SkyTeam partners Air France and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines operate from McNamara Terminal, while all other airlines operate from the North Terminal. Travellers arriving at the airport can follow the clear signs toward the arrival hall and baggage claim areas. They can also grab a bite or buy some duty-free products at the medley of shops before leaving the TSA-screened area!

A free shuttle connects Detroit Metropolitan Airport's two terminals and the hotel. Those leaving the airport can hop onto the public bus services connecting DTW Airport with the surrounding regions, such as Southeast Michigan and the Ann Arbor Area. Alternatively, flag a taxi from each terminal’s Ground Transportation Center, where all taxi riders are guaranteed to be committed to customer service quality and sustainability. A taxi ride to the city centre of Detroit will only take about 20 minutes.

Detroit is located on the United States-Canada border. With the Detroit river flowing through the city, Detroit is a major port and a significant metropolitan region within the United States. Detroit's status as the world's automotive capital was earned when Ford founded the Ford Motor Company, and various automotive pioneers followed his lead to start manufacturing in Detroit.

Detroit's waterfront displays a variety of architectural styles, from the postmodern neogothic spires of the One Detroit Center to the Art Deco skyscrapers, all blending well to create a beautiful skyline. Be sure to take a walk along the waterfront in the evening, to enjoy the sunset and capture the beauty of the lit-up buildings reflecting their light upon the river.

Other landmarks include the United States' largest Fox Theatre, the Detroit Opera House, and the Detroit Institute of Arts.
