Located 37km away from downtown Houston is the Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport, which serves on average more than 40 million passengers a year, making it the 10th busiest airport in North America, 7th largest international passenger gateway in the US and the 7th busiest airport in the world for total aircraft movements. The 5 terminals were designed for maximum flexibility, with jetways that were able to handle any aircraft. Terminals A, B, C, D and E have a 2.4km distance between them. Terminal E is the newest terminal and houses United Airlines' international operations and some domestic operations.
Connecting the 5 terminals is a shuttle train service called TerminaLink that allows passengers to travel within the airport without having to re-enter security. Otherwise, visitors of the airport can use the publicly accessible underground inter-terminal train, which was developed by the Walt Disney company.
Various methods of travelling to areas surrounding the airport and to downtown Houston include shuttle buses, taxis and buses. The bus services available at the south side of Terminal C include the 102 Bush IAH Express and the METRO Airport Direct. Those without any specific location in mind upon arrival can take the regularly scheduled shuttle bus which goes to various locations around the airport and also popular spots, getting off at any place that looks interesting. Alternatively, take a taxi which will be charged according to the flat Zone Rate or the meter rate. A 15-minute ride gets you to Deerbrook Mall in Humble and the Greenspoint business district and with a 45-minute cab ride, one can access the Houston Museum District, The Galleria and the city arboretum.
Houston is the most populous city in Texas and the fourth most populous city in the United States. It was named after General Sam Houston, one of the most illustrious political figures of Texas. Also, Houston is the home of the Texas Medical Center — the world's largest concentration of healthcare and research institutions — and NASA's Johnson Space Center, where the Mission Control Center is located.

Otherwise, travelling downtown, you will find Bayou Place, a large multilevel building containing full-service restaurants, bars, live music, billiards, and the Sundance Cinema.
