Edmonton is the largest city in the Canadian province of Alberta and is the country’s 5th largest municipality. Situated at an elevation of 645 meters above sea level, the city currently serves as home to 1,328,300 people who are referred as Edmontonian. Known as ‘Gateway to the North’, Edmonton is the northernmost North American city to have a metropolitan population over one million.
