Fly to Calgary International Airport, the airport which serves Calgary and also its surrounding regions. Located only 17km from the city centre of Calgary, it is Canada's third busiest airport by passenger traffic and aircraft movements, handling almost 15 million passengers yearly. Get to Calgary from the airport by taking one of the three public buses that pass through the airport. For an educational trip, visit Glenbow Museum, Western Canada's largest art museum which features travelling exhibitions and historical galleries. Fort Calgary is a national historic site and the birthplace of the city of Calgary. It marks the location where the North West Mounted Police built their fort at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers in 1875. Shopaholics will be thrilled to know that Calgary has a large number of malls such as the Asian-themed Dragon City Mall, one of Calgary's largest Market Malls, Marlborough Mall and Sunridge Mall.
