Our superior double room, Canal view, had a view of the grand Canal and the fish market. The air conditioning worked great, and the room was clean and comfortable. The ceilings are quite low, so I imagine someone super tall might feel a little crowded. The pictures provided by hotels.com show the room as it is. It is several flights of stairs up, so be ready for that. Google Maps helped us find this place fairly easy, and as we got close, there were signs to get us to the right spot. We took the vaporetto from the train station to Rialto Mercato and it was a short walk from there. Just walk through the fish market and cross the bridge and take a left on the next street, take the next left and look for the signs.

Great Location and Excellent Value in Venice
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The location is extremely convenient, especially for exploring Venice on foot. It is very close to the Rialto Bridge, Rialto Mercato, and gondola station, with many great restaurants and sightseeing options nearby.
Despite being so central, the area was quiet and relaxing, which was a big plus after spending the day exploring Venice.
One of the best features for us was the supermarket and local market nearby. We could easily buy water, beer, good wine by the bottle, fresh fruit, and other items at much lower prices than buying everything at restaurants. Having the Rialto Mercato so close was especially convenient for getting fresh food and snacks without paying restaurant markups.
Another major advantage is the easy airport transfer. The hotel is close to the Alilaguna station, making it very convenient to travel between the airport and Venice without needing an expensive taxi or complicated transportation.
The hotel is also very close to public transportation, making it easy to get around Venice without needing a taxi.
Overall, the combination of location, convenience, quiet surroundings, access to transportation, nearby affordable food options, and easy airport access made this a great choice for our stay in Venice. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice.

We had an issue with air conditioning so the first night was terrible. But they fixed it. Not a typical hotel so no like hot water kettle and other things you may expect from a hotel. No elevator. Very cramped. But overall worth the money

Super cool old building near the the oldest fish market in Europe. The air-conditioning was broken the first night and it was extremely hot and musty. The next morning I inquired and I was told the whole building was having a problem with the air conditioning, but it was working now. The second night made all the difference with proper working air-conditioning and I was very satisfied from that point on.
No Compensation was offered for my horrible first night.
Totally recommend but be aware there are many stairs as is normal with these old buildings. I did not expect any elevators.

The location was great, the room was just what we were looking for, very near to lots of sights in Venice. The room was clean and we were provided a free bottle of prosecco in our room when we checked in. They also had a deal with the restaurant with a similar name nearby for 20% off which we took advantage of. Would definitely recommend staying here as long as you do not require an elevator and can navigate going up tight stairs.
