We stayed at Riad Layla (suite Alia) for three nights. The place is beautiful and within Fes Medina. Breakfast was served on the terrace which we quite enjoyed.
Our room was spacious, well maintained, clean and beautifully decorated. Even the bathroom was very aesthetically pleasing. The suite is on the top floor so might not be convenient for some people but apart from that, everything was amazing.
The staff were also incredibly nice!
On our last day we had to depart at 6AM and one of the staff members very kindly and thoughtfully packed us breakfast! We ordered food through a delivery app and missed the driver’s call, he was kind enough to collect the food and bring it upstairs for us.
All in all it was a very comfortable stay. Would recommend.

It's ok as a place to sleep for a couple of nights, and the location is good. However, it's rather dark and damp, and the bathroom didn't feel clean, I guess because it's quite an old property. Breakfast portions were very small. The manager was very helpful, and packed us a takeaway breakfast for our early checkout.

Staff was extremely helpful. He came to pick us from Taxi and the day we left we had super early check out, he prepared us take out breakfast. Extremely helpful.

Nice hotel within a beautiful building. However, the bathroom had a pungent smell of urine, almost like a previous visitor had urinated on the wooden furniture or the walls. Despite alerting the hotel crew, no action was taken apart from discharging the toilet a couple of times. The hotel seems to be managed by temporary workers who rotate and hardly (or don't) speak french or english and our breakfast (eggs) was served cold on both days.
Summarized: nice room (royal suite), but the services and breakfast were below the level of what we experienced in a nearby Riad of 25eur/night the day before.

We stayed 3 nights at Riad Layla. The 1st 2 nights were in the Sara room. It was a very nice room and was comfortable. The hot water worked well in the bathroom and there was a refrigerator which was nice. The only down side is that the room was a bit dark. Breakfasts were amazing as was the service.
The last night, we were upgraded to a larger room with a staircase up to the bedroom. Again, the accommodations were beautiful, but we personally did not care for having the bedroom upstairs and the bathroom downstairs. The room had very high ceilings which was beautiful, but difficult to heat.
