A decent hotel …… but tired rooms

If a 3.5 rating was an option, I’d have probably gone for it ….. but I erred on the generous side!!
The hotel ticks all the boxes, except the rooms are really really tired. Lovely reception with friendly staff, nice pool area, cracking breakfast selection and reasonably well situated in a fairly uninspiring town …… but the rooms do need a makeover

Clean and convenient at a decent price

Convenient for the sea front and ferry terminal. Decent last minute price when we were stranded by Typhoon Uwan.
Clean with efficient air conditioning.
Pleasant breakfast included in our price
We had unwittingly booked an internal room so couldn't open the curtains !

Hotel shabby

Dingy hotel, swimming pool out of service because unmaintained green water, air conditioning that makes a crazy noise even turned off because the air conditioning of the floor above flows on ours, breakfast disastrous even the basic hot drink like tea non-existent, cleaning not done, forced to claim at the reception to have a minimum of cleaning, moldy shower and no hot water and the pom-pom in breakdown forced to climb 6 floors on foot with our suitcases, and I go..... to flee

Room booked is not as described.

Room booked in agoda is different from what they gave us. They argued that that's the executive room but description is surely not the same as the one described in Agoda. Agoda stated queen or king size bed. They gave us a room with 2 beds but definitely not queen size and the one bed is single size bed. They wanted to move us to a queen size bed but the room is also very small and not as described as 32sqm size. Even pictures of the room are not the same as well.
Room was very dirty. They can't even use a proper beddings. They had to use a bed sheets over lapping in the middle of the bed to cover the bed.
Headboard was even broken and it falls on the bed once the pillows are removed.
Kettle is not present in the room which is included in the executive room.
Sofa are full of stains.
