Odessa International Airport – Ukraine’s Third Largest International Airport
At a distance of 7 km from the center of Odessa in Ukraine, Odessa International Airport is a military and public airport in Ukraine. It is Ukraine’s third largest international airport after Boryspil International Airport and Kiev International Airport. The airport serves as a focus city for Ukraine International Airlines and spreads on 570 hectares of land. At the elevation of 52 meters above sea level, the Odessa International airport currently has 1 grass runway measuring 553 meters and 1 asphalt/concrete runway which measures 2,800 meters in length. The runway of the airport is also extensively used by Ukrainian Air Force. In 2014, the airport handled 863,900 passengers, making it among the busiest airports in the country.
Opened in the year 1961, the Odessa International Airport underwent massive renovation and expansion in May 2007. The expansion work was completed in 2013 at the cost of 45–60 million and the airport’s capacity has increase from 651,000 passengers in 2009 to 1.5–2 million passengers per year. The airport now has the capacity to serve 1000 passengers per hour and the new terminal is 26,000 square meters in size and includes 16 check-in desks. Designed by Ineco, a Spanish company, the airport is also equipped with 4 telescopic gangway and numerous passenger friendly service.
At present, the airport serves as base for Aeroflot, Austrian Airlines, Dniproavia, flydubai, Georgian Airways, LOT Polish Airlines, Onur Air, S7 Airlines, Transaero Airlines, Turkish Airlines and Yanair which operate regular passenger flights to and from the Odessa International Airport. Windrose Airlines, UTair Ukraine, Ukraine International Airlines, Ellinair and Astra Airlines operate seasonal flights.
The Odessa is an international airport in Ukraine has been serving the people for more than 5 decades now and even though it offers good facilities and passenger friendly services; the airport has not received any awards till now.

How to Check-in
Web check-in is available with most of the airline operating flights from Odessa International Airport and this option can be available availed between 24 hours to 3 hours before the schedule departure. This facility is available with most of the airline and can be done online 24 hours prior to departure.
