1. Someshwar Beach and Temple
The ancient Someshwar Temple in the city has a scenic backdrop – the Arabian Sea. The Shiva temple stands on a massive rocky outcrop, the base of which is constantly slapped by waves. Rani Abbakka Devi, one of the first freedom fighters who resisted the Portuguese rule in the coastal region, built this temple.

2. Mosques of the City
