El Meco Archaeological Site (prominent Mayan trade center from the 1100s), Animal Adventures (a beautiful interactive aquarium famous for its swimming with the dolphin experience), The Scenic Tower (a 10 meters tall tower offering birds-eye view of the city), Urbano Kabah Park (a popular place for picnic or leisure walks), Isla Mujeres (13 km from Cancun famous for being an isolated beach) and Chichén Itzá and Tulum (excursion trip from Cancun) are the major sightseeing spots in Cancun.

Los Arcos is an icnonic restaurant a classic Mexican fare, all kinds of drinks and live rock music. Kukulcan Plaza & Luxury Avenue is an upscale shopping hub filled with branded stores like Louis Vuitton and Cartier. Many specialty restaurants and cafes are also located here. Plaza Caracol located at the Cancun Convention Center which is laden with more than 200 shops and boutiques. While Plaza Las Americas is a large departmental store, Market 28 is a huge flea market situated in the heart of downtown Cancun and here tourists can buy souvenirs, Mexican handcrafts and silver jewelry at bargain prices.
