A small town on the on the island of Kefalonia Ionian Islands in Greece, Argostoli, is one of the popular tourist destination. The city has served as the administrative center as well as the capital Kefalonia since 1757. At an elevation between 0 to 10 meters above sea level, it is among the most popular and busiest ports in Greece. Around 10,633 people live in the municipal area of Argostoli making it the most populous city in the region after Razata, Dilináta and Kompothekráta. Greek is the official language spoken by most of the people.

Lithostroto and main square area in Argostoli are the major shopping destinations which are filled with small shops, cafes, eating places on a long stretch of cobbled street parallel to the port. Mostly shops open from 7 am in the morning and few of them close between 2 and 5 pm.
