Great experience

Great location, great view, large room, clean room, bed comfy, not so much noise (doors closing in the hallway the only real noise - didn't notice traffic noise). Package was good value as breakfast & parking included. Reception staff were very helpful & friendly. Would stay again.

The View Melbourne is perfectly located near a tram line, has a great cafe for dinner & a fabulous breakfast restaurant. The bed was super comfortable and I love the configuration of the bathroom/wardrobe dressing room area. The staff are super helpful and if you have a car, the parking is so easy.

Highly recommend

Perfectly located within ten minutes walk of the Alfred Hospital, with clean spacious rooms. I was on Floor 8 in a corner room: City View Deluxe King. I was extremely impressed by the staff who were so professional and genuinely caring. The food available for room service and in the dining area was of excellent quality and made my stay even more convenient. The room furnishings were not at all tired looking like many in city hotels.

We have stayed here a lot but it may be time to find somewhere else.
For several years the hot water situation has not been great. We have raised it with staff and given all manner of excuses but on this 3 night visit we did not have hot water 3 mornings in a row. Luke warm at best. Ever needed the cold tap. Closer to cold water one morning.
Nice rooms, great location. No hot water. And not the first time. Manageable in Summer but not winter.

Simple and comfortable through the whole process.
Close to the city and just a short walk to trams.
A great place to base yourself for a couple of days.
Great restaurant onsite for breakfast and a fun bar for a drink or two in the afternoon.
