Great location for Rye
The location is great if visiting Rye. It has association with the Rye Hotel and is right behind it. It is walking distance to Rye’s Main Street and its restaurants and is across the road from the beach and pier. Our room was more like a self contained unit which is perfect if you are staying a few days and don’t want to eat out every night. The rooms are clean and not dated. The bed was so comfortable and the best for our trip. The staff was welcoming and even gave us a drink voucher as we had driven a distance to get there. There is parking on site and you need a swipe to enter so it is quite secure. The only downside is there isn’t a lift so if you have issues I would suggest a ground floor.

Very spacious room and immaculatly clean. It even smelt clean when we opened the door each day.
Bed was so comfortable we really could have brought it home!

Very confused by the ordering.
We went to the Hotel today for lunch, was very disappointed with the way they handled the ordering of the meals. We tired to order a chicken schnitzel which came with chips and salad, one of our group wanted to have mashed potatoes and vegetables but was told it only came with chips and salad. She was able to order the mashed potatoes and vegetables separately and they would remove the chips and salad but her chicken schnitzel would still cost her $26 and there would be an extra of $20 for the mashed potatoes and veggies. Total $46. Funny thing though was you could order a steak for $46 and have a choice of mash and veggies or chips and salad. How does that work! Certainly will be trying somewhere else next time.

Staff super helpful. Very clean and comfortable. Ocean view is very nice but can be noisy at late hours of the night.
