Tolle Location

Super nice location. We stayed in the press house - great house in the garden behind the castle. The house would be absolutely perfect if there had not been a very unpleasant smell there (probably a dead rat in the living area).
Breakfast was great, especially the service at breakfast!
I would also like to praise the Tanja, with whom we had a great wine tasting. Very personable and professional - THANK YOU TANJA!

Everything is right here!

Already by the extremely friendly Reservation by Nadja I was positive.
The excellent food, the great wines and the top service of Kateryna convinced us completely. Kateryna took very professional care of us and we felt very comfortable with it.
We can recommend the Emmy restaurant out of conviction and look forward to the next visit to this outstanding house.

A place of peace

After lunch on the busy street in Gamlitz, we accidentally find ourselves in the courtyard of Gamlitz Castle.
For us, it is a place of peace and relaxation. We enjoy the very friendly service, the good coffee and delicious cakes and relax before our return journey to Mureck.
We want to come back and enjoy the advantages of the restaurant.

Great experience!

We spent a night at Gamlitz Castle at the end of November. The castle was opened in 2021 and was renovated before that. It has remained quaint, but also very modernly furnished. Simply great. We stayed in the press house, a truly unique experience. It is so cozy and cuddly in this suite and the upper bedroom has a wonderful view. We were warmly welcomed by the reception and immediately shown around the property. After that we went to the wine tasting. Here we were presented with three great samples and also shown the wine cellar. We were impressed. The wine was so to our taste that we took two (Frizzante and Chardonnay) with us. The non-alcoholic red grape juice also tastes heavenly. We couldn't resist buying that too! The dinner in the "EMMY" restaurant was delicious and the ambience is beautiful, everything was really decorated for Christmas. This also applies to the breakfast, which was small but finely prepared and offers an extensive selection for every taste. We leave Gamlitz Castle completely happy and will definitely come back with our friends.

Simply the best for us in Südsteiermark

Every year we come from Italy to this gorgeous place and every year we are literally delighted by its charme, beauty and serenity: this Schloss is simply a little paradise!
The team is PERFECT: dear Tina, dear Natascha and dear Martin THANK you sooooo much for your Gastfreundlichkeit. You are so professional, friendly, helpful and really nice people. We truly love you! The Schloss would not be the same without you: you perfectly fit and embody that certain steirische Gemütlichkeit that is simply enchanting.
For us is like being at home.
We cannot wait to meet you again in 2021. Till then take care and enjoy your time.
Our deepest gratitude for making unforgettable our days at the castle.
PS1: Mrs. Jolanda Melcher and Mr. Fritz Melcher are simply GREAT! We really much regret that Martina had to go back home to Vorarlberg. We hope to meet her again next year.
PS2: sorry but I need to mention it: the new chairs im Hof are by far not so comfortable as the old ones :-)
