Bad
Rooms nicely furnished, but those facing the back should be avoided, as they overlook the parking lot where deliveries are constantly made, and it is very loud. Staff at the reception were arrogant. Food in the à la carte restaurant was devastatingly bad.

Culinary top, wellness flop
We made a stop at the Hotel Moarhof in Lienz for one night and experienced a very pleasant stay overall.
The staff is friendly.
However, we experienced the wellness area with some limitations. It overall appears to be quite dated. Additionally, the showers were very loud, and the number of lounge and relaxation spots seemed too few for the area's occupancy, so we ultimately found no place to sit or lie down. Moreover, some guests in the wellness area unfortunately behaved very loudly and inconsiderately, which is why we decided not to use the area any longer after two sauna sessions.
However, the absolute highlight of this establishment is undoubtedly the kitchen. We dined à la carte and were truly impressed by the quality of the dishes. Since we have quite high expectations for gastronomy and culinary experiences, we can confidently say that we have rarely eaten so excellently – and this at a remarkably moderate price level.
Especially the Wagyu T-bone steak was exceptionally good and has left a lasting impression on us. But all the other ordered dishes were of excellent quality, expertly prepared, and tasted very high-end.
Combined with the exceptionally friendly service, the culinary aspect of our stay remains a wonderful memory.

No mercy!
I give a highly negative opinion for the only point I could evaluate: the lack of attention to the customer and the absolute lack of interest and human insensitivity. I booked for 5 nights and unfortunately, the day after my arrival, I received a phone call announcing the death of my mother. I ask to pay to run home and they tell me that I have to pay the whole stay without arguments; they do not even discount the breakfast that I will not use. AWFUL!!! UNQUALIFYING!!! No attempt to mediate. To be avoided.

Great hotel
We, 3 sisters, decided on East Tyrol and the Hotel Moarhof in Lienz this year and we were all very impressed with the hotel. Great location, great breakfast and the staff was a dream. Very friendly and always in a good mood. We can only recommend this hotel. 5 well-deserved stars
