Rooms yes. Restaurant no.

The hotel above the restaurant was fine. But the restaurant was terrible. The food was, O.K. (but delivered to our table 75 minutes after we ordered it). The two people providing service at the restaurant were awful. Perfect unfriendlies . I was told that the steryotype of the French (Belgian) rudeness towards Americans was, merely a steryotype. Not here. Wow. What unfriendly jerks.

To avoid

Simple hotel that could be nice, summary comfort, small room (Soult) not maintained and old. Neglected surroundings also, broken glass bottle under the window during the 4 days of our stay. Random cleaning.... on arrival there was still a coffee capsule in the nespresso machine, coffee cream not renewed, huge cobweb just above the bed, the shower head does not hold, the safe does not close despite the intervention of one of the officials, the doors creak and knock, poorly soundproofed rooms, no shower and bathtub for small templates......
I really don't advise him.

Too bad...

We stayed at this hotel for a night. Despite some negatives (kleenex found behind the nightstand, unsealed socket and tied water for the shower) we still had a good stay overall: impeccable bedding nice breakfast with kind people at the reception, and no noise during the night...

Location great for battlefield

Plenty of easy parking and location great for Waterloo1815 history buffs. Rooms in the loft/ top floor are like hot cupboards with Velux windows you can’t see out of. Despite us asking for at least one room with a good view. Go out to eat. Restaurant meal was very poor and was expensive.Overall very disappointing but for one night only the location alone compensates for the low quality of this hotel.
