Great location, fabulous staff!

My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at the Eriksen Premises on our 3 night stay in Trinity. Our room was just the right size, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast was included and as stated by many reviewers, it is a fixed breakfast each day. However, we found it to be tasty, plenty to eat and served by lovely staff. I think if you want more, you can order from a menu, but there will be a cost to do so. Kudos to them as well for rushing the preparation of our first morning's pancake breakfast as they don't open until 8:00 and we had to be checking in for a whale watching trip at 8:30. They no longer serve dinner there, but they are licensed and do a lovely lunch. The building is very old and also houses a lovely gift shop. We also enjoyed taking our pre-dinner drinks out to a small deck on the side of the building at the end of each afternoon. My Dad grew up in Trinity and I have been there many times before, and remember the Eriksen Premises being a general store when I was a child. It is so nice to see that it is still around and now serving as a very pleasant inn in the heart of Trinity.

Wouldn’t stay again

Booked a suite, specifically advertised with air-conditioning. No air conditioner and windows wouldn’t budge. Heard creaky floors all night through door. Wouldn’t stay again. Also noticed that no reviews of this place in the last 10 months. Very odd.

Lovely property, but buyer beware on the “included” breakfast

The property and staff were absolutely lovely. It’s an historic building in a quaint coastal village with beautiful sights and buildings at every turn. The room was comfortable, the bathroom well appointed, and the dining area open and breezy.
Unfortunately, it sounds like the property’s management has been making decisions that undercut the experience and veer into false advertising territory. Despite the description on both Trip Advisor and Booking.com, as well as the obvious naming of the property as a Bed & Breakfast, we were told at checkin that breakfast is not included in the room price. Next morning, after double-checking my own memory wasn’t playing tricks on me, I challenged them on this. We had selected this lodging in part because the rate included breakfast, and all indications in writing confirm it even now.
When I pressed, friendly staff expressed sympathy and did their best to make it right. Their only choice was to offer us the “included breakfast option”, which turned out to be a McMuffin-like breakfast sandwich. So, even if you press or manage to land a room rate that includes breakfast, it will likely fall well short of what one expects from a lovely B&B in a quaint, seaside village.
Unfortunately, it was pretty clear that this wasn’t the first time staff had run into this misalignment of expectations. They were as polite and circumspect as possible, but the impression is of a property management making poor choices and willfully allowing misleading copy and signage to persist.
It leaves a sour taste from what should have been a delightful stay.

Lovely Bed & Breakfast with lovely people

This was our second visit to Trinity and second stay at Eriksen Premises. On this visit we stayed in the Spa Room because of the king bed and jacuzzi tub since we were very tired from a long hike. Unfortunately there was a boil water advisory in Trinity during our stay, so we weren’t able to use the tub (the water was brown). The bed was comfortable, however, and we had a nice time!
We stayed for two nights and so we enjoyed two breakfasts in the restaurant. One thing to note is that they serve only one thing each morning so there is no choice of menu. We had breakfast sandwiches on our first day (egg, bacon and cheese on a bagel) and blueberry pancakes and sausage on our second. Both were very tasty and we were offered second helpings. The staff are very friendly and informative and they made our stay very pleasant.
Our one slight complaint was that with the boil water advisory we thought it would have been nice to provide bottled water (instead we had to drive out of town to purchase our own), and we also would have liked to have been advised that the jacuzzi tub was unusable because we likely would have chosen a less expensive room.

Friendly Spot in a Pretty Town

Trinity is such a cute little town, with steep hills and colourful houses circling the water. Eriksen was conveniently located just a short stroll from the water. It was hot while we were there and the rooms were sweltering despite the multiple fans. Breakfast was included, and Bonnie was very nice and helpful. There was also a guest lounge with a TV and coffee station. My room was up a small but narrow stairwell, so don’t bring large luggage if you’re staying here, it will be a pain to get up to your room.
