Nice hostel in good location.

Nice hostel in a historically protected building, over a 100 years old, the walls are covered in pictures of boats so if you suffer from naviphobia prob shouldn't stay here, staff are friendly and helpful and the hostel is quiet aall day and night

Cheap, but needs some attention

Clean beds. Not much more to say. Lots of junkies screaming . Probably the least expensive option in the city though.
Needs a deep clean. I encourage the owner to smell the urine smell in the first bathroom on the main floor when the dryers aren’t running.

Did not feel safe staying here

Avoid this place especially if you are travelling by yourself...
-Area did not feel safe (lots of homeless people/screaming and shouting at night)
-room did not feel clean (woke up feeling itchy)
-building generally looked unkempt and walls very thin especially if you are near the toilet

Sweltering, hot and uncomfortable

You are better off staying at the YVR airport and hanging out at the Tim Horton's that's open 24/7. First off, the room is SWELTERING HOT. Unbearable. It's at least 15⁰ F warmer and humid than out in the hallway, which is already a balming, but acceptable mid 80⁰ F. No screens on the window, so you're pretty much mosquito bait. Avoid this place in the summer unless you are able to sleep comfortably in 90⁰ heat. Room has seen much better day. Rust everywhere. The floor is peeling. They will only hold luggage until 3pm.

Basic accommodation

Very basic accommodation. We had a family room with 2 sets of bunk beds. The room was very tight without a lot of storage for our bags. We had a sink in the room. The beds were comfy and the hostel was quiet so we slept well.
The Hostel does not have a kitchen space or a large common space so the community feel of a hostel is non-existent. Centrally located so we had an easy time exploring. We really just slept and showered here and for that, the place was fine. Cool vintage maritime vibe but definitely run down and could use a paint job and deep clean to freshen the place up. Reception was super kind and helpful.
