OH DEAR OH DEAR
They proudly announce on the little cheap photocopied piece of paper they hand you on check in that they don't clean the rooms! I guess they claim it's for eco reasons. I would suggest it's budget. 'Denmark's oldest hotel' wants to turnover as much cash as possible. And they certainly DON'T clean the rooms. The shower area in our room was a disgrace – muck and mould on the tiles and a stain that looked like blood or ear wax on the ceiling. Shocking. Then there's a shower curtain that doesn't reach the floor. I don't know how they get away with this.
The café/restaurant terrace – which looks exactly the same as all the other cafés on the square – is clearly a great earner for them. But the kitchen is at the back of the hotel. So, if you happen to be in the reception area, all you experience is waitresses racing through from the kitchen to the terrace, with plates of deep-fried food, the smell of which not only lingers in the ground floor area, but also travels up to the other floors. Yugh!
Breakfast is a sad affair. You enter the gloomy rooms. I looked to check if the buffet was ready. I assumed it wasn't. But it was. It was just so mean and meagre, you could hardly see anything. No one to supervise – of course. No juice. Machine coffee that tasted like instant. There was one of those supermarket plastic tubs of honey. Good news. But the bad news is that there was only a millimetre (max) of honey in the container. Of course no one to tell. It has to be one of the worst breakfast buffets I heve ever experienced. Even all those cheap chain hotels – Ibis, Motel One etc - do far better and always have someone in charge.
The chain that owns this hotel should be ashamed of itself.

No service
Minutes. Due to an attack by a sea gull on our food I took the left overs and went to the dancing staff which was more focused on the DJ then their customers.

Nice but worn hotel
Floor blankets in the room, was very stained, the wallpaper in the hallway was about to fall down. Lamp in our wardrobe, barely lit because the lamp was dirty. Windows were not cleaned for a while etc.
Breakfast was under good standard, the eggs were never cooked the 3 days we got breakfast food, a coffee machine for a crowded hotel is a bit.

Restaurant Weigterkeller
We often come to hotel Dagmar - the weight cellar. And “has” been happy for it, but not this time. We ordered the famous steak for 345 kr... which turned out to be a very big disappointment, the meat tasted fine nothing special. The salad speaks for itself.. just a little leaves with some oil, and pomegranates that were not spicy... probably not worth 345 kr on the contrary. The quality has fallen drastically, we have come here for many years but it gets an end now ..... unfortunately
Not worth ordering their steak... only if you will be disappointed
