A three-star of very good quality

This three-star hotel, located on the heights of Eze, offers a setting far from the tourist anthill. Despite its close proximity to the road, the setting remains pleasant, with rooms on the top floor offering sea views, partially hidden by the height of some trees.
The number of rooms is limited, 24 at most. The team is welcoming, smiling, always willing to answer questions, advise local addresses. They are a young and dynamic team, both at the reception and for breakfast. Check-in (from 3pm) and check-out (11am) are easy.
On the occasion of my wife’s birthday, I booked the suite for two nights. It is not an immensely large suite but it offers a welcome practicality. Located on the top floor, its balcony is wired and has a garden furniture (which must be handled to close the shutters, however, it is the small catch). It is made as a kind of L whose base is the night part, the rest the seating area with sofa, dressing room, fridge, safe. Next to the bed, another dressing room is available, so each occupant enjoys a large room for his personal belongings.
There is no shimmering color, but I do not write this in the form of reproach. The style is country chic, with a ceiling with bleached beams, white furniture with wrought forms, a light oak parquet floor to break the immaculate side of the white walls. The yellow quilt on the bed is the only true touch of color.
A courtesy tray, a coffee maker and a kettle are available. I regretted, however, that the tea bags were those of the filthy Twinings brand, a tea that has no place in a hotel that offers quality services and Fragonard products in the bathroom. The bathroom, in beige travertine, has a walk-in shower, a black basin and toilet. It is large and the towel rail warms it to perfection. The towels are qualitative, not clogged, not rough. A large rectangular mirror runs through the wall, which enlarges the room.
The bedding is highly qualitative. It is warm enough in the room thanks to the reversible air conditioning that you do not have to add any blanket. In addition, the pvc shutters ensure total darkness, avoiding having to sleep with a sleep mask. The establishment is quiet. Double glazing reduces the noise of vehicles that can pass over the ledge.
We had a nice surprise to find half a bottle of champagne (branded Taittinger) in an ice bucket, as well as pretzels in a ramekin, for my wife’s birthday. I appreciated the attention, especially since champagne flutes had been left available.
Breakfast is just as convincing as the room. It comes in buffet style and is well stocked. For a three-star hotel, I found it varied, hearty and greedy. Every day, a homemade pie is offered (apricot on Saturday, rhubarb on Sunday, concerning us). I don’t think the pastries are fresh (understand, prepared by a baker every day), but they are good. On the savoury side, you can feast on different cheeses, cold cuts, sausages, creamy scrambled eggs, avocado pieces... Pancakes with maple syrup are also part of the delicacies without forgetting cereals, yogurt, dried and fresh fruit, various jams. Vegetable milk is available. Hot drinks are made by machine.
The dining room has a very different style from our room. It leans towards an industrial atmosphere with black luminaires, iron frames, darker floor. Breakfast is served from 07:00 to 11:00, so there is not necessarily a rush. Since the Hermitage does not offer catering, this explains the wide breakfast hours.
The pool is open in the summer, so I can’t go into the subject, as we stayed at this hotel in March.
As for tariffs, they can be high any proportion kept. The stay came back to us at just over 600 euros for two nights in suite with breakfast. I have no objectionable remarks to make. This is a very nice three star property, which I recommend. It is located 15 minutes from Beaulieu or La Turbie for example, and five minutes from the center of Eze. Please note: free parking in front of the property.

We loved this hotel. Great views of the mountains and right next to a beautiful hiking trail. Everything was clean and recently updated. Breakfast was very well done. We were surprised with an amazing pool area.

Great location and very helpful staff.
Outside areas a bit tatty.
The rooms are very small, okay if short stay with small bags but impossible with big suitcases. Great value for money in a good area
