The Floréal

Very nice hotel, warm, pleasant, welcoming, and the staff is very friendly. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms are well maintained and clean. The owners are very kind. I spent the 4 days I was there in good company. I highly recommend this lovely hotel; you will not be disappointed!

Great stay at the Floréal

We spent 4 days in Vence and 3 nights at the Floréal hotel; it was great, the owners were always welcoming and smiling, with a great breakfast and a little swim in the pool.
Room was spotless and the staff was very kind.
I highly recommend this hotel; you will not be disappointed,

Very noisy and unprofessional hotel: no discretion, the manager comes to knock on the door in the morning instead of being discreet.

Very disappointing hotel. My wife and I spent several days there, and the experience was catastrophic. Overpriced room for what it is: old, dusty, very mediocre service, and it is clear that the establishment is overwhelmed.
The worst part is the behavior of the manager who comes to knock on the door at 10 AM to complain that "the neighbors are complaining," simply because we were talking a bit in our room in the evening and a shower head fell once or twice... We felt like we were being treated like children. When you pay for a room at that price, the least you can expect is a minimum of peace and privacy. If the walls are as thin as paper, that is not the customers' problem.
However, strangely, there was no issue with people running in the hallways at 7 AM to go to breakfast... Double standards.
The private parking at €12 per night is absolutely not worth it, especially since there are outdoor spots that are much cheaper or even free depending on the hours.
Fortunately, we left quickly; I even considered shortening our stay because the atmosphere disgusted us so much. It's a shame because the place has charm on the outside, but that is not enough. I should have read the reviews before booking; that will teach me. Never again, and neither will my friends.
