A great place to have a rest after an exciting day! Hotel «Gertraud» is located in Bad Kohlgrub. This hotel is located in the center of the city. In the morning, have a cup of coffee while looking at the city from the window. You can take a walk and explore the neighbourhood area of the hotel — Hörnlebahn, Tegelberg Cable Car and Pöllatschlucht Schwangau..You can stop by the bar. You can stop by the restaurant. Specially for tourists who travel by car, there’s a parking zone.

Great stay

Bad kohlgrub is a sweet little town so it's quiet and charming.The owners of the hotel are very accommodating and helpful they are really nice people that looks after guests needs.The rooms are spacious very clean,tidy and the kitchen is fully equipped i hope guests don't ruin this lovely place in future and keep it clean,if u need laundry service it's available 5 euros is the costs for 5 kg of clothes, also breakfast is served in the restaurant

A wonderful stay in a great family-run hotel

My partner and I spent two nights in this lovely hotel in Bad Kohlgrub. We really enjoyed it. The room was large, it was very clean, the bed was comfortable, we loved the balcony and there was free internet. Obviously, this is not a chain hotel with routinised standard service, not a luxury hotel either. But it did have a lot of charm and is run by very friendly and helpful people. The breakfast, too, was quite excellent and plenty. The only minor suggestion from us would be to equip the bathrooms with some more shower gel and shampoo. Bad Kohlgrub is very conveniently situated between Murnau and Oberammergau and not too far from Garmisch-Partenkirchen. However, one really doesn’t have to venture too far to do beautiful hikes, for example. We hope to return for another visit and then possibly a winter trip to the area.

Very clean and accomodative for family travel.

Our family of 5 found the guest apartment on the top floor more than we had hoped for in this small family run hotel near Oberammergau as we traveled through Bavaria. Karl - the owner - was most pleasant with a wonderful command of the English language who helped us immensely during our two night stay in Bad Kohlgrub. I had mentioned to my wife that I would very much like to return here on our next trip Oberammergau for the Passionspeile in 2020. A very easy drive to Oberammergau as well as Wieskirche, Linderhof, and Neuschaunstein. Dinner at the Kurpark restaurant just down the road was fabulous (an easy walk, but we drove due to a mild rain) as was ice cream at Fierenze (also a short walk) was a real treat for all.
The apartment was quite spacious and had a great kitchen that we did not fully utilize due to our short stay. Magnificent views of the mountains from both rooms was a plus and the traditional German breakfast each morning was a great start to the day.
Breakfast was an extra 5+Euro per person which was a bargin due to the fact that the room rates were so reasonable.
Needless to say; we were VERY pleased.

Guter Aufenthalt

Gutes Preis / Leistung Verhältnis. WLAN stark. Frühstück gut und reichhaltig. Zimmer hat zweckmäßige Einrichtung Stauraum genug. Eigenes Bad mit WC und Dusche. Sauber. Freundlich. Ideal für Kurzurlaub wie Wandern. Kein Pool keine Art von Fitnessraum.

Typisch bayerisch !

Das Kur- und Ferienhotel Gertraud ist ein in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel, aber es ist alles sehr sauber und gut in Schuss gehalten. Die Einrichtung ist eher landestypisch, aber tadellos. Das Frühstück ist überschaubar, aber durchaus ausreichend.
Die Wirtsleute sind sehr freundlich und man fühlt sich sehr wohl im Hause Gertraud.
Von dem Standort Bad Kohlgrub kann man wunderbar Tagesausflüge nach München, Innsbruck, Starnberger See... machen.
Alles in Allem lohnt sich ein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel.
