The Solitaire was perfect for my needs while visiting my son who lives in the Pankow neighborhood. The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was very good. The neighborhood was upscale. Public transportation (bus) stops in front of the building, or 8 minute walk to mainline tram. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I plan on staying there again when I travel back to Pankow.

A good hotel to stay at when in Berlin

A really nice, quality hotel. Comfortable rooms and with an excellent selection at breakfast time. My room also contained a fridge and microwave which was a huge bonus. Added to that, the room also had a balcony. The greenery hanging down in the atrium is something to see and gives the hotel a calm and quiet atmosphere. Amazingly, the hotel also has it's own picture gallery, which is a considerable size, in the basement.
I had seem some comment that the hotel was a bit of a trek from the train station but I found it quite a reasonable walk. Not that long at all. There is also a bus from the station, if feeling lazy. There are also a lot of trees on the walk with other walks leading off in different directions. It is like being in a quiet suburb of Berlin, with good train and bus connections.
This was my first stay at the Solitaire Hotel and I was very impressed with what I found. I plan to return in 2026.

Outlying but accessible

Inn eccentric but nevertheless easily accessible, especially by tram. The metro is a little further away. The staff is nice, the setting is very green, the rooms are spacious and comfortable. I recommend to spend the stay quiet after wandering through the Berlin tumult.

Stay away from this place, they defraud foreigners

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights, but had to leave on the third night as housekeeping was not present.
There are no sheets.
There is no cleaning service.
Unapproved daily costs are charged.
I tried to speak in English but they don't know it. They only speak German. Which for a hotel is a senseless disservice

My favorite

From the first minute we were welcomed, we felt welcome and comfortable. The greenery inside was amazing, well maintained and unobtrusively pleasant. Rooms are comfortable, beds are soft and good.
Facing the street? No problem, you can close the windows in the morning if it bothers you. Breakfast was very good, better than our experiences in more expensive hotels.
