Pre/post surgery accommodation.

Lovely Hotel close to shops and the local markets and eateries. Perfectly clean, staff spoke good English and all problems addressed after needing another night. Breakfast available but mainly cater for early risers! No bar/ restaurant due to Covid, which we didn't expect as hotel still advertised evening meals. Not a big problem other than had to leave my friend ( who had surgery and was recovery) to source evening meals. Breakfast and lunch was purchased from Mr. Baker bakery across the road ( must visit!) No major issues we worked round it. BUT......Please offer coffee making facilities in the rooms.

Highly recommended!

Everything about Hotel Lemp was first class. The hotel was clean, easy to find and the rooms very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Of particular mention are the staff who could not have been more helpful and efficient. I have stayed on business at five star hotels in central Cologne and I can say that the service at this hotel surpassed that at those hotels at a fraction of the price. We will certainly be returning to Hotel Lemp again next time we travel to Cologne. It is also extremely convenient for public transport. Highly recommended!

Great Stay

We stayed at Hotel Lemp after having our airbnb cancel on us. We were thrilled to find a hotel with air conditioning, outside of the emissions zone, but within 2 minutes of the train station. The hotel was absolutely perfect and the breakfast at €8 felt like a steal. The staff were an extraordinarily friendly and the room was spotless. Thank you so much. If we ever return to Cologne, we will stay here. And to those who mentioned a dodgy neighborhood.... we walked from the train station at 1:30am and felt 100% safe. It's a real neighborhood where people live - not fu illed with tourists.

Good location

We chose this hotel due to it's location to Cologne centre and the airport for an early flight the following day. A very warm welcome upon arrival and the staff were helpful with maps, travel information and even booked a restaurant for dinner for us. The bedroom was an average size, comfortable bed and lovely bathroom, all immaculately clean. The hotel has an underground car park, about £11 for one night. Very close to the tram service and easy to get in and out of the centre of Cologne. There is a lovely outside garden/terrace area with seating and umbrellas, ideal for pre dinner drinks. A short walk into Porz and you are right on the Rhine with beautiful views and a scattering of restaurants. We had a very early flight the following morning so were unable to sample breakfast but the restaurant looked lovely and they sorted out a pot of tea for two rooms before we left.

Very nice hotel in Porz

Really nice hotel in a good location in Porz. Ideal for me as I was working on the south side of Köln. A very short walk to a pleasant stretch of the Rhein where there are plenty of places to get something to eat or drink with a view over the river.
Room was spacious and clearly been recently renovated to a very high standard. Luxurious bathroom - looked like it had been redone yesterday. Nice comfortable bed. Excellent air conditioning. Very nice breakfast at a fair price in a pleasant breakfast room. The staff working in the hotel were friendly and welcoming. Large TV with excellent picture quality. The only minor niggle is that the car park under the hotel is pretty tight ... with a BMW 5 Series Touring it was quite tricky getting in and out, and as most of the spots are “double decker” spots which I was struggling to reverse into with rear wheel drive, I was lucky to find a normal spot.
Would I go back? Yes definitely - will be my first choice in the area.
