Brilliant

We stayed here last week for a dance comp in kalkar, we were so impressed by the standard of the room we had it was beautiful, the owners were so kind to us helped us get taxis every day, food was beautiful, beautiful views aswell kid friendly, we were even treated to a packed lunch for our journey home, we will definitely be back. Thank u xx

Away hotel with a little outdated rooms

Due to the location away from villages and the audible proximity to the A3, my recommendation is rather negative. Also the price (taking into account the renovation jam) makes you not exactly more tolerant.

Simple but good!

The room was ok, we were able to get a key at 11:00 otherwise we had to wait till 16:00! So my wife could do some shopping and I was able do do a bike-ride. Diner was fine, nothing fancy. The breakfast was also ok!

A perfect place to stay

We arrived rather late and got our lovely, clean and comfortable rooms with a view to the fields.
Next we had a perfect dinner in the restaurant after a tiring day behind the wheel.
After a restful sleep we ended our stay with a huge and well-prepared breakfast.
Definitelya place to return to.

Awful service, shame as the room was ok

the stairs up to the room are behind the bar and very narrow and windy not easy to get up with suitcases. There was no handwash in the hand wash dispenser in our room, there was also no handwash in the gents toilet of the restraunt. the duvet was not suited to the weather on a day where it was 33 degrees celcius we where given a warm thick duvet which must have been around 19 Tog as i have never seen one that thick before. the staf only spoke limeted English, there was no information in the hotel written in English only in German, and no English menu for the restraunt.
when i went to pay the hotel i was presented a bill of which te cost of breakfast was broke down and shown at 10 euros i would have rather had the choice to not have it at all.
The breakfast was appauling we where told to sit at a table with 2 other guests, we had to share a pot of sugar and milk with them this was verry arkward as we did not speak the same language as them, not to mention we felt we where invading their privacy, and of course we felt they where invading ours, we where given an alocation of bread, a plate of meat with 4 slices of ham and salami and 4 slices of cheese, and a small glass of orange juice asked if we would like tea or coffee and we where presented with a boiled egg if we wanted one or not, there was no choice of yougurt or fruit, nor was there any cerial on offer. i would not stay at this hotel again.
