A thoroughly successful relaxation: Comfortable rooms, friendly service, and culinary highlights

We were last here in June 2025 for the umpteenth time for a few days. The beachside and lively atmosphere is exactly what gives this beautiful beach hotel its charm. The rooms look beautifully fresh with a maritime touch after the renovation, and the beds are comfortable. We have already stayed in a junior suite with a view of the pier here, among other things. For more space, there is also the Captain's House with larger suites and two bedrooms. But even the rooms without a balcony were comfortable and sufficient for us.
Particularly noteworthy is the allergy-friendly
insect protection concept: One can sleep comfortably at night with the window open without risking mosquito bites.
In the morning, we were greeted with a diverse and delicious breakfast. The restaurant impressed us with a varied cuisine. The coastal barbecue, which is particularly recommended, takes place every Saturday starting in May. Overall, a friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Painless holiday

The way it usually is: you are on holiday and with the stress relief suddenly comes the tension in the body. Unfortunately, it is. But I could be helped immediately and the ghastly permanent pain was taken away thanks to a very professional physiotherapist. She knew exactly where and how to lay hands. I can only give a very good recommendation here, if anyone should have problems like this. Thank you very much, because only then can you enjoy the holiday
,if you're painless.

Great hotel in very good location

Very nice hotel. Very good location directly at the spa house and just a few steps from the beach.
The room (on the ground floor) was very large and tastefully decorated. MInibar, safe and coffee machine included. Very good beds.
Breakfast very extensive and delicious with homemade salads. Freshly prepared omelette on request. Sparkling wine and various juices on offer.
The Oyster bar is worth a visit.
Very friendly and helpful staff.
The wellness area is in a separate house and very large. Sauna area only for guests aged 16 and over. Three saunas: 90°, 65° and steam bath. Everything very clean.

Not a family hotel.

It is a pity that families are not a priority in this hotel. The target audience is clearly older people. It makes you sad how you can be so child-unfriendly and can only bathe in the pool as a family until 4pm. The target audience is already at dinner at 18:00. The hotel is unfortunately a reflection of our society.

Totally overhyped

I don't understand the hype about the hotel.
We arrived and were told directly that no hot water would work for the next few hours because the pipes would be repaired. A few days later it turned out that the complete heating system will be repaired and the whole thing will take several days. Our room was right under the construction site and so we had construction noise every day. This was not announced before, nor communicated at check-in...
The rooms are large and have plenty of storage space but we had a passage door to the next room, which was also not previously announced. It made us hear every word from the next room. Our shower was a shower tray that you have to climb in and out of, which I personally managed to do but I imagine that to be quite challenging for the primary target group of the hotel. The open concept of the bathrooms does not bother me personally, but you should definitely know that everyone who comes in the door has full view of the shower ;-) Another big minus: the underground parking. It is extremely narrow and there is not even nearly enough parking available. So if you are thinking of taking a trip by car, you should think carefully if you will get a parking space somewhere else in the village after returning. The e-charging places were partly occupied by incinerators and those who park their car in the underground car park must expect it to be completely shut up by the birds*. This has already been criticized in some reviews and is therefore well known. Although there is cleaning equipment available in the underground car park, I find the amount of parking costs extremely outrageous in this regard.
It is important to me to emphasize two things positively: the staff is very friendly, especially at the Oyster Bar. Also the breakfast buffet is extremely good with a large selection and I found it very pleasant that you can have breakfast until 12 pm.
