Worth Staying
The Hotel is located at a very beautiful location with peaceful views. The ambiance of the hotel is very pleasant and lovely especially in the evenings.
We loved the food and the great hospitality shown Bye the staffs.

Awful experience. Very, very weird place
Checked in to be told that they would only take cash payments and told me they would take me to an ATM.
Had booked a suite.
Ate in the restaurant Food was awful... paid, didn't complain
Went for breakfast next day. Went to the restaurant and was asked if we could eat in our room as other guests would see that we had breakfast included in our room rate and may not pay.
Very strange, Very strange.
Refused breakfast.
On going out to get some water, was then told it would be OK to have breakfast
It was all too bizarre. We checked out early having paid for another night.
The receptionist phoned the manager who wanted to speak to me and on explaining to him, he then said we could have breakfast in the restaurant.
Goa is great, but this place is truly awful. Avoid and book elsewhere.

Amazing property, excellent service , perfect place to stay in south goa

Sol de Goa, lacking Soul & Care
I'm writing this while sitting by the beautiful courtyard pool at this quaint, offbeat property in Nerul, Goa. Sol de Goa is a delightful find.. tucked away in a small bylane. Far away from the crowds. This tiny villa styled hotel doesn't fail to charm. Beautifully and minimally designed, this place looks promising and quite a change from the usual 5 star properties that most people stay in.
This is exactly what my children (aged 13 and 7) were looking for when we decided to take a break. And while it seemed like the perfect promising place for us, it failed to make a mark and I am somehow left feeling disappointed and dejected. The place is lovely, the rooms are nice.. clean, large etc. But the service and the overall vibe leaves a lot to be desired.
Boutique properties like these aren't just made of pretty spaces. They are made with the vibes that the people who lead this place leave behind. While the service is average, we don't see any friendly faces around. Not even once have we seen a smiling face who comes to us eager to talk to me or my children. Leaving aside a poor old waiter at the restaurant and a confused receptionist.. nobody else in the hotel has bothered to even stop and smile and exchange a word. We are the only ones at this hotel by the way. We've seen the owners walk around, the top management hustle and bustle through the day.. but nobody seems to be interested to provide a feeling of warmth to the guests who are currently here. Somehow, I feel that a boutique property should have all the more reason to connect with their guests and spread their idea behind the beautiful property that they've made through interacting with the guests..
We also complained yesterday of the food in the restaurant and the overall housekeeping service. All of which was promptly changed.. but still, there is no warmth. No love. It's cold and clinical at best.
I am biding my time and hoping that this review should somehow reach the right people in the management. Or should at least warn people who want to come to this place seeking an alternative experience.
While I was hopeful of a warm, soulful stay.. Sol De Goa failed to meet my desires on several counts.

Sol De Goa
Sol De Goa , it read !
I read it , imprinted on the white wall the moment I stepped out of my car.
That’s right !
When I first entered this heaven of mixed white and chocolate brown shade , I expected it to be completely driven by the European feel to it.
And then something magnificent followed...
Soon my feet touched some flowers;
My ears heard the droplets of the falling water from the leaves.
I could smell the breeze and then that moment came , when my eyes met the Green water right before me , hugged and enveloped in a divine fashion by the green botanicals around it.
Cannot ignore mentioning the Green earthen pots!
Those earthen pots around it appeared as if standing in salutation of the winsome architecture.
Then the winds paved way for my friends - lorts of birds from the sky.
Their chirping left me speechless !
Ineffable enough.
I never envisaged a place like this before ever.
The courtyard felt like room , the couch by the pool felt like my sleeping bed.
And then the journey began...
Every night was silent and meditative!
I became friends with the ineffable glee and the eternal solace this place got me.
I was so mesmerised by the inner courtyard , that I forgot to visit the deck.
Third day , of the initial weeks of feb , the man at the reception who would always give me a smile in the night hours when i was lost in the reflections of water - discovering myself , Shane is his name guided me to the deck outside.
He appeared like an angel showing me something I might have missed.
It was embedded with dark blue pool , some chairs and a bar overlooking the rawness of the green farms- giving me a clear sight to the horizon , not to forget the setting “sun”.
You have to be here to feel what I felt.
