Kuwait City to my surprise has been recovered fast from the Iraq desert storm days and now fully thriving with many tall skyscrapers.

A combination of modern money and ancient history blend to create the unique architecture and culture of Kuwait City. Despite the money and infrastructure Kuwait still struggles to maintain much agriculture in the blistering heat of the dry desert landscape.

Kuwait City was an interesting place on the planet to visit. As a woman, I felt comfortable everywhere we went, but I also made sure that my clothing covered my knees and elbows. Kuwait City is packed full of luxury malls and places to eat. I enjoyed wandering around the SoMu area, Souk Al-Mubarakiya and the Marina Crescent. We were only in Kuwait City for a few days, but I felt as though that was more than enough time to check out the various sites. Make sure you try an avocado and honey drink (a typical winter drink) or a lemon and mint drink (in the summer). Both drinks are tasty and refreshing!
