Sunny days in "My Dreams" on Holbox

It was a welcoming experience. We were in the company of my best friend's family, for 3 nights and 4 days. The hotel is located on the left side of the ferry pier, 650 meters from Holbox beach (the best known). Location-wise, it is a hotel that is "secluded" from the village, main streets and beach. However, the manager supported us in ordering taxis from the area.
Now, referring to the structure of the hotel, it is a boutique hotel of 17 rooms (if my memory does not fail me). Its swimming pool is small, with 1.10 meters deep, suitable for all family and children. The interior of the rooms are rustic and cozy, combining wood and concrete with symbolic details/drawings of the island. The water in the shower was cold, had a table attached to the wall, a television, privacy curtains, clothes racks and much more.
The cleanliness of the rooms was always in optimal condition (bed, floor, bathroom). Our reservation came with breakfast (8 a.m. to 10 a.m.) where they offered 4 types of dishes, simple but delicious. If you wanted something extra, they have an extra cost. In addition to having beds and hammocks, they had a coffee-making area to taste and a microwave near the pool area. It is a spacious area to meet and spend some leisure time in the pool area.
Of so many boutique hotels in the area, My Dreams is the ideal choice for spending leisure time with family and friends. They consider all the concerns and needs that may arise on the part of the guest.

Great hotel, shame the island isn't as great.

We were initially due to stay at another hotel.. however it was genuinely horrifying. So booked here literally last minute.
We had a very warm welcome from the staff. We were shown where we were on the island in relation to highlights and places of interest. Then we were taken to our room, where we literally dropped out belongings and headed straight out. Initially being quite impressed with the aesthetics and the room.
We spent the evening hunting for the Bioluminescence (not worth it in my opinion, at least not trying to walk it, many roads inaccessible and my son and wife ended up with well over 150 mosquito bites each).
We returned to the hotel having had a meal out. The room was roasting hot. The air con was broken however it was too late to do anything.
We went for breakfast. Wow! Pancakes with fruit... Genuinely fantastic! So so so impressed, never thought I would say that about pancakes! Mentioned the air con, after trying to mend it we were moved room. Not a problem for us at all. The room from here on was perfect!
The rooms are spacious enough for a famaily. They're clean and decorated lovely. The hotel itself is like a paradise! It's stunning. Wooden beams, thatched roofs, flowers, palm trees and a lovely pool to cool off in.
Honestly we couldn't have been happier with the hotel. No need for a late check out. The staff happily had our bags in the reception room and we were able to grab a shower in a side room before heading for the ferry home.
As for the island itself. Will we go again? Probably not. Many flooded roads. A lot of rubbish/garbage knocking around. The north east side of the island is much nicer in fairness. The west is not so nice. That said, anything along the beach side is lovely. But far more eateries and bars to the east.
The food on the island... Exceptional. We didn't each anything sub par. Really really impressed with the standard of the food.
Unfortuantely the hours spent trying to get back from Punta Coco and the mosquito bites ruined the whole experience for us. Absolutely no reflection the hotel.

Woke up to the hotel manager touching me

It’s taken me longer than I would’ve liked to write this review as I was and still am very traumatised by what happened and I would really like the owners of the hotel to contact me. I stayed here beginning of May with a couple of friends and on our second to last night the manager insisted on cooking us dinner as he said it was something he wanted to try out with guests of the hotel who stay longer than a couple of days. Him and a woman made us food and he made us cocktails. We invited him to sit after the meal as we thought he was really sweet and had been super helpful throughout our stay. After 30 minutes or so me and my friends went to our rooms. I then woke up to the hotel manager in my room, he was touching me. He said the door was open ( I’m very sure it wasn’t, I checked it before I went to sleep but the lock on the door of that particular room was faulty and didn’t have a double lock which is maybe why he placed me in that room? ) and he had brought me a cocktail, when I said no to the drink he said he was really good at massages and asked if I wanted one. I said no thank you, he left the room and I ran up to the room my friends were staying in. I was hysterical obviously and terrified. We then booked another hotel for our last night and I slept in the room with them.
I wasn’t quite sure what else to do about this other than the review as I imagine he has access to the hotel email etc

Mis Suenos, a beautiful reality.

Holbox is a beautiful location but unfortunately full of contrasts, uncontrolled tourism has overturned this quiet fishing community, discharging thousands of tourists every year without a regulatory, sewerage or road plan capable of supporting such a tourist flow. A wonderful beach like Punta Moschitos can be reached by crossing rubbish and neglect, ruined roads, carcasses of scooters and cars everywhere... But if you enter the jungle you will find enormous termite nests in the trees, shells and horseshoe crabs (I found some 4), birds of all kinds...
And then at a certain point you arrive at this delightful hotel with young and very kind staff, with clean and well-kept rooms, with scented towels and a comfortable bed and after a day in the morning a nice swim in a swimming pool refreshes you with pleasure. Free water dispenser available, breakfast with omelettes and pancakes freshly made with excellent ingredients. Book crossing station available. They offered us a free room upgrade because it had rained the night before and the road was rough. The hotel is 500 meters from the port. I would happily go back
