A peaceful and welcoming stay in Tulum

The place is beautiful - simple but very comfortable — nothing fancy, just quiet, clean, and safe. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, and everyone makes you feel genuinely welcome. It’s also conveniently located near downtown, which made getting around super easy. Perfect spot if you’re looking for a peaceful stay with great vibes and friendly people.

Amazing, hip vibe and amazing staff! Highly recommend!

This place is so unassuming out front, a few block walk to the square and a drive to the hotel area (which was so disappointing to visit.) BUT! This hotel/ hostel is amazing! What I love is the beautiful vibe and friendly atmosphere. It’s definitely a bohemian young crowd in general but the place is clean, beautifully decorated, the pool and bar are fabulous and the restaurant connected to the hotel has an amazing smash burger! The drinks at the bar are so well priced, dare I say cheap compared to rest of Tulum. The vibe here is nothing short of amazing and the staff, are all young and beautiful, so friendly and informative. Alejandra, Rocio and Fernando. Amazing experience! I’m sad I’m only staying one night!!! If I come back to Tulum there is no place I would rather stay.

What a great stay!

Wow, this was one of the best stays we've had in all of Mexico. This is where you really need to stay if you want to stay in Tulum Pueblo.
Not only is it beautifully decorated and relaxed, the Owner and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and go out of their way to give you a good time. For example, my phone was broken and Fernando (the Owner) took us with his car to a repairman and helped us with translation. When we wanted to give him something as a thank you he didn't want any of it, just a "thank you". What a winner!
There is a casual atmosphere & they play good 80's music. When we went Fernando also came to say goodbye to us personally and wish us a nice trip. What is also nice is that they speak very good English. Really highly recommended!!

An Eclectic Hide-a-Way with Magical Charm

The entrance, an unmarked garage door requiring a secret code, was daunting. We didn't know what to expect, but it turned out to be a real treat, unlike any hotel at which we've ever stayed. Rather than a small, boutique hotel, it's more of an eclectic upscale hostel. (We inadvertently booked a room with a shared bano down the hall, with industrial, corrugated stall doors - but they do have rooms with baths.) The rooms are a bit austere, decorated with covers of classic record albums like Radiohead and Wu-Tang Clan. It's the common area though that wins you over. The lush, dense tropical garden that gives the ho[s]tel its name, is surround by a pool that could be set in the wild. The water was cool and refreshing. The communal bar and dining tables complete the magical setting. Then there's the wonderful breakfasts (included in the price). And most of all--the staff! Shout out to Alejandra and Rosita and the creator/owner, 33yrs-old Fernando. It's an easy walk to the main part of town and about a 35 minute taxi to the new Tulum airport. We only stayed one night before our flight out, but I could easily see this as homebase for a longer stay. Most of the guests were 20/30 somethings. As geezers, we would have appreciated railings on the steps.

Hostel in good location

The good things are: lovely staff, welcoming and kind. Great location and peaceful, pretty garden with refreshing swimming pool. Good breakfast. The problem was that we thought we booked a garden suite with balcony and garden view. We in reality had a small room with a window onto a communal walkway from which you could see the garden. There was no balcony and the description simply served to mislead. It's a shame since this deception spoiled the experience for us.
