Is a very beautiful hotel in front of the beach with amazing views. The staff were very friendly and professional. It’s a little noisy because there’s clubs / music around it but that’s the vibe of Tulum. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful but expensive and loud

Delek itself is beautiful -- the rooms, the beach, the service, and the food & drinks were very tasty. Staff was kind and capable.
HOWEVER... we’ve been coming to Tulum since 2006 and have always loved it as a special place to relax. Sadly, it has changed. It’s now difficult to truly relax due to the extremely high prices and loud music until 1am every night.
I also found the bed uncomfortable — the mattress was sagging and caused some back pain. At this price point, it really should be replaced.
If we wanted loud music and a party atmosphere, we would stay in Cancun. We come to Tulum for peace & relaxation.
We paid about $400/night during the first week of March (off-season, garden room). That’s expensive, but we assumed (wrongly) that other costs would be relatively low.
Instead, every single thing in the Tulum beach area was exorbitantly priced:
• $350 USD for a 2-person round-trip shuttle from CUN to Tulum (not including tips)
• $100 USD for a 5.7-mile round-trip taxi to town
• $116 USD for TACOS for two and one margarita (with a sweet begging dog)
• $388 USD for a sushi dinner with a very small shared portion
• $86 USD for a shared whole fish for lunch on the beach
• $20 USD for guacamole (in MEXICO, where avocados come from)
• $10 USD for a small bowl of fries
Totally insane. NEVER AGAIN!
We don't pay anywhere near those prices in our expensive big city in the U.S. (Washington DC). I'd say it's 200-300% more than what things cost here.
For what we spent on this 4-night trip, we could have taken a two-week trip almost anywhere in Europe or Asia.
Sadly, we won’t be returning to Tulum. We’ll have to find a new place to relax when we need a getaway.
If you don't mind overpaying for things and a party atmosphere, then it IS a very nice resort --- but it's not for us.
There was also a lot of seaweed, but it didn't bother me that much -- may be an issue for others.

Tashi Delek Kristiaan, may infinite blessings be on your path,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with such honesty.
We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the design, the beach, the food, and especially the care from our team. It truly means a lot to us.
We understand how important it is to find a place where you can fully relax, and we’re sorry to hear that certain aspects of your stay didn’t allow you to feel that way. Tulum has evolved over the years, and the overall dynamic of the destination today can feel very different from what it once was.
We also value your note about the mattress and will review this with our team, as your comfort is very important to us.
We’re grateful you gave us the opportunity to host you and thank you for sharing your perspective. We wish you many beautiful and relaxing travels ahead.
Blessings,
DELEK TULUM

Great experience

Amazing experience from start to finish. The hotel sits tucked into the jungle along the beach road in Tulum’s hotel zone, with a really nice balance between luxury and that laid back Tulum feeling. Rooms are spacious and beautifully done with natural materials, we really liked ours. The beach in front is stunning, white sand and turqouise water, and we always found loungers available.
Service was personal and attentive throughout, staff remembered us which was a nice touch. Location is ideal, far enough from the main party scene to feel peaceful but still close enough to get to restaurants and the ruins easily. One thing to be ready for is the party music, you can hear it from the neighbouring beach clubs in the afternoons and evenings which is just part of the Tulum experience but worth knowing. Would absolutely come back.

This hotel is a jungle paradise on the beach! The rooms are so beautifully designed, clean, and natural feeling. We stayed in a standard room on the second level and our bathroom had a skylight! We were treated so kindly by Steph, who made our stay 10x more special. She was helpful at every turn and deserves all the praise!

Paradise

This hotel is located on the beach paradise of Tulum! From the moment you walk through the "Radical Love" entrance, you are transported to a natural jungle oasis that is caressed in the sound of the waves crashing on the beach. The gentle feel of sand between your toes is so relaxing as you navigate through the paths covered by the shade of all the palms. We stayed in a standard room on the second level which was described as having a limited view; but we couldn't have been more happy with our surroundings! We had a naturally curated level of privacy and our balcony had plenty of relaxing options: a hammock, a daybed, and two chairs to enjoy our daily offering of coffee delivered to the room. Our room had an incredible vibe... from the soft bamboo lighting, to the unique ceramic pendant lights, to the acacia wooden furniture, to the soft and cool linens. The ceiling was so impressive I almost wished our bed didn't have a luxurious canopy! The bathroom was soaked in the sunlight pouring through the skylight and made it hard to leave the shower- which had unlimited hot water! I was inspired by the thoughtful, yet seemingly effortless, decor of our room and really appreciated the plants as well as the alter offering all the blessings one could need! Despite being so connected with the outdoors, our rooms were extremely clean and housekeeping did a fantastic job removing sand and little bugs that found their way in- nothing too worrisome! We were also provided with a natural mosquito repellant that really came in handy. There is a large draw to Tulum for partying and that unfortunately brings loud music at night. We were informed of this before visiting so it wasn't a surprise and truly did not bother us during our stay. We just manipulated the shutters outside our windows and even utilized the provided earplugs one evening... the sun and ocean tired us out and we had no issues getting good, deep rest each night. We always had fresh beach towels- along with a bag to tote them to the beach in- fresh water for drinking daily, and even a reusable water bottle that came in handy when visiting the Tulum Ruins and Akumal Bay to see the sea turtles (no plastics are allowed). This hotel seriously thought of everything and we felt like royalty during our stay!
This is a personal shout out to Steph at Delek Tulum's reception desk. This hotel is incredible, but it wouldn't have felt so welcoming and filled with love without Steph! Not only did she get us to our room hours before check in, but she had set up the most thoughtful surprise for my boyfriend and I. She showed us around the property, gave us the most delicious welcome drink, and then brought us to our room where there was champagne and flowers waiting to celebrate our anniversary. She explained the beautiful sentiment behind Delek Tulum's creation. Later, Steph came to the rescue when I was having issues checking in for my flight on my phone; she allowed me to use her laptop. While working on that, she asked me how our stay was going- to which I commented on some sunburn I received. She thoughtfully offered me some aloe gel to cool the burn. Even AFTER leaving the hotel, Steph came to the rescue again! Once home, I was unpacking and realized I didn't have my favorite bathing suit! She immediately located it and instructed me on how to set up shipping for them to send it home to me! These were all things I would never expect someone to go out of their way to help me with, and Steph stepped in with nothing but kindness and action. She is the true blessing at Delek!!
Absolutely visit Delek Tulum; it will be such a meaningful experience!

Tashi Delek Vanessa, may infinite blessings be on your path,
Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful and thoughtful reflection.
It means so much to know that you connected so deeply with the atmosphere, the design, and all the little details that make Delek feel special. Reading about your mornings on the balcony, the room, the beach, and the overall feeling of the space is truly wonderful for us.
We’re especially touched by your words about Steph. He cares deeply about every guest experience, and knowing that he helped make your anniversary trip so memorable, from the surprise in your room to helping after your stay, is exactly the kind of care we hope people feel here. We will make sure he sees this.
Thank you for taking the time to describe your stay so beautifully. We’re so grateful you chose Delek for such a special trip, and we hope to welcome you both back again someday.
Blessings,
DELEK TULUM
