I would stay here again

Nice hotel. Clean and spacious rooms. Maybe not so modern. Nice, big bathroom. Black out curtains which were handy because of the midnight sun. My room was creepy and definitely haunted. Nice and helpful staff. The red carpet outside the hotel is an accident waiting to happen, as it keeps folding and it’s easy to trip over. Great view of the mountains from the 15th floor. The hotel itself is very ugly from the outside and a giant eyesore in the city, blocking some of the view of the mountains. Could definitely have been designed better. It’s easy to get to absolutely stunning places from Narvik. Nature, lakes, mountains. Wonderful! Terrific breakfast buffet, the options were endless. Smoothies, bacon, fruit, pancakes, sausages, cereals, yogurt, juice, baked beans, lots of other stuff. Fresh and so delicious. Felt like I was in Heaven! I’d stay here again!

Disappointed

A bit disappointed for that price Dirty and trash was not taken out once when we arrived. They haven't dried dust either. Feeled a little like getting to a forgotten room. Black coffee and tea is the only thing too. Not sugar, not milk powder, not happen once.

The breakfast buffet is awesomely. The hotel is getting a little tired. It’s still nice but use a bit of TLC

Ridiculous parking

Upon arrival, the parking garage we were directed to was full. We returned to the hotel after driving around and unsuccessfully finding any other garage. Do note, we do not speak Norwegian and were unfamiliar with parking laws in Norway. That being said, it seems there were parking signs with different hours posted everywhere. The clerk at the hotel informed us of a gravel parking lot close to the hotel, however it would require downloading an App and paying a daily fee. Of course, there is no QR code for the App, but we eventually successfully found and downloaded the App, registered our credit car and license plate, and finally parked. It took over an hour. It could have taken 15 minutes, but there was no guidance or any printed instructions on what to do.
The worst part of our parking experience was upon departure. We pulled up to the what seemed to be the loading zone for the hotel and put our luggage in our cars. We briefly went across the street to purchase a small item at the souvenir shop. Upon returning to our car, we found a parking ticket on the car. It seems the pull out in front of the hotel is a bus stop. There is small sign that has a picture of a bus to the side fo the pull out. In Norway, that identifies a bus stop. There is NO indication anywhere at the hotel that the pull out is a bus stop and no one at the front desk said a thing. When we approached the clerk after getting the ticket she basically shrugged her shoulders and said we illegally parked. She watched the traffic cop put the tickets on our cars (there were several cars in our party). She didn't walk out the policeman and inform them that we were guests. She told us we should have seen the sign. Unbelievable.
While the rooms were perfectly adequate, there was almost no service-orientation of the staff and the parking situation is the worst I have encountered anywhere. And I have travelled over 4 million miles around the world over the last 40 years.
