Pleasant and quiet

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Floryda for 12 nights as a result of a last minute booking. I was looking for a place with an internet connection to allow me to work in the evenings. The care taker was very nice and presented me with two room options. The first room was very inexpensive, but a bit sad for my taste. The room I chose was $15 more, but it was pleasant, With a small fridge, tidy bathroom, ample closet space, and a tv. Parking was free and the internet worked flawlessly. This hotel is conveniently located just steps away from the main drag and the beach, yet away from the noise and crowds. My window opened into a tidy courtyard/parking lot with a view of the woods and a tiny train station. (fyi, the trains were not an issue at all). One suggestion for improvement I would have is to make it more clear for the guests when one can expect room cleaning and printed instructions for the internet would be handy... maybe even a little restaurant guide... This place also offers breakfast for an additional fee.

Roadtrip

Really bad, can't even call it a hotel, rooms poorly furnished, dirty and smells of cigarettes. Poor breakfast, the pictures on homepage and booking is not even close to reality. The staff was nice, they did really try but was not able to deliver.

Defo not coming back!!

We arrived here with no previous reservation and with a dog so thought it will be hard to get any room in the area. We found this hotel on the way and was surprised that it was not full. We took the apartment on top floor. First of all people from glass lift could see us in the room as well as our neighbours! Room was very average and not even close to call it an apartment. In the room there was a kettle but not even one tea bag! One of the towels was so old it really belong on the bathroom floor. I spilt my drink and when wiped it, tissue was black- shows how clean room was. Forget about toiletries or air con ( in the middle of the summer!) We had to pay additional fees for a dog but they didn't even provide a bowl for water. Overall: not worth the money or time! Horrible experience.

Uncomfortable and overpriced

We visited with a 4month baby and for 190PLN which is a normal price in Jurata for a convenient room got a 2x2m cell next to reception with cardboard door, loud teens, uncomfortable bed and an elevator that doesn't go to our floor.
This is an old railway building that was not yet properly renovated and last year was managed by two elderly people who are very nice but that's not just enough to make it a comfortable stay. I can understand that the location is prime, but with the rates it could be managed much better, especially it's a sad sight to see service which doesn't seem to be enjoying what they do and get a lot of negative reviews from customers. I believe it's the responsibility of owners to run this place in a more organized way, listen to client needs (noone really asked us for ours) and develop their staff to meet high standards which are indeed delivered by most surrounding hotels and hostels.

Jurata

The first thing I want to place emphasis on, are the really very friendly 3 women who take care of the hotel! They all alternate at the work at the reception, in the restaurant and even clean the floors. If I would have to rate them here, they would get 5/5 stars.
The hotel itself is a shame. The rooms are smaller than a toilett and you feel like you are in a prison. Everything is just so small and uncomfortbale. In addition to that, the rooms are not cleaned everyday so that you really try to spend as much time outside as possible. If you consider then, that this crap costs 70-80€ (for two persons) a day, you feel mucked & betrayed. One example for that is, that there is only one elecktrical outlet, which is, in addition to that, in an unreachable spot in the bathroom. Nevertheless the breakfast is simple but very good and you have a fast wifi almost everywhere.
Despite the truely wonderfull staff you can´t really call this a hotel, because without them this housing wouldn´t desereve even 1/5 stars.
