Bad maintenance.
I have been staying at the hotel for many years because of the establishment's location, and in all these years I have seen that the rooms are getting worse and worse. Peeling paint, worn floor, air conditioning not cooling, and in the bathroom it is impossible to get the water to come out warm. It burns you or freezes you every 10 seconds. And if you happen to get an interior room, what a mess of a courtyard full of trash they have. I find such negligence incredible.

Mid standard hotel that's hard to access.
This was the only 3* as opposed to 4* hotel we stayed in on our tour round N Spain/Portugal, and the difference was obvious. That said, The Paris is a perfectly good hotel and VERY good choice for those wishing to explore old Leon.
Rooms are reasonably comfortable but a bit lacking. Only two sockets for charging, and a bit cramped. Bed OK, but nothing special. Breakfast was a bit basic, but decent enough value at 10€.
The other thing to mention is that if arriving by car, it's EXTREMELY hard to find and a faff getting into it, caused, it has to be said by the noisy, dusty roadworks in the Calle Ancha. We only stayed for 2 nights and never took the car out until we left, so it was OK, but otherwise it would have been a real pain.

Marathon by the Hotel
3-star hotel, cafeteria and restaurant with very good decoration. We had booked garage but we gave up trying to arrive for works.
They gave us a LEON room equivalent to the 210 where Jesus Christ lost the sandal and on top of that the posters only marked numerical rooms. 100 or 150 meters of corners and folds of the hallway and 15 stairs with suitcase in tow.
Very old room that if you leave the suitcase lying down as it is very small and you do not remember at night you get the blip when going to the service.
The 2 € fiber pillows (I have worked selling them and they cost us wholesale 1.45 €), nor with the three shared joints in the center of the bed we got some sleep. At 4 a.m. an Enantyum for back pain.
The breakfast good value for money and despite my opinion you can not ask much more for 67 € and 20 breakfast. I think that with 2 stars it is very spare and needs more elevators to not go marathon down the corridors.
Question of the million: Do I recommend it? Well, for one night and for its location, yes.
By the way the picture that appears is twice as big as the room we were assigned. If I opened the window, I couldn't get down my side of the bed

Discovery of North West Spain
Hotel located in the center of a very lively area, close to the cathedral, bars and restaurants, it has a nearby parking at the price of 15 € / day. We found it quite sinister because very dark and extremely noisy with a constant back and forth of luggage, doors slamming. We were unable to open the shutter and the window of the room that looked directly onto an accessible platform, and where the aircos were. A breakfast is served at the price of 9 € / person, especially not to be taken: the “pastries” were not fresh, slices of bread already toasted (and therefore cold) on which we had deposited 1 slice of white ham that looked sad, and let’s not talk about coffee! For us, the hotel does not deserve its 3*.
