I wouldn't stay there again

The only good thing about this place is its location, it's about 5 minutes walk from the bus terminal and the night bazaar. Ah, and the pricing - only 100 baht a night.
Though I stayed many other places for 100-150 baht a night, and Sofia Hostel loses to all of them. Stinky and dirty bathrooms, different pictures of the rooms (on Booking.com), thin walls and not clean beds. I stayed at the hostel just one night, and even was not dare to shower there!
Not a good experience.

Full of bed bugs. Dirty, dusty, smelly.

They refused to give the room I had booked. They took me to another hostel of inferior quality across the street.
It was all dirty, muddy, thr bathrooms were disgusting and the room smelled.
I woke up covered in bed bug bites. Avoid this hostel!

Avoid this hostel and find somewhere else..!!!

We booked this hostel on booking.com and when getting to Chiang Rai, we paid for our stay at "reception" and we then taken across the road to our dorm! There was a strong odour of sewerage as soon as we got in and the room looking NOTHING like the pictures advertised! Very run down, furniture broken, smelly and a general unpleasant vibe! The bathroom smelt even worse and the wall was missing to the back of the building which was not the 'alfresco.. open air' feeling we wanted. Although we are backpacking, we felt we could not stay and requested to check out at reception after 45 minutes. I am unsure if they have had similar complaints, however we were given a full refund and booking somewhere else to stay.
We would honestly advise for anyone to avoid this hostel!

Einfaches kleines Hostel. Es gibt Ventilatoren anstatt einer Klimaanlage. WC und Dusche sind im selben Raum. Für den Preis fand ich die Ausstattung in Ordnung. Das Personal hat mir Angeboten, dass ich mein Gepäck im Hostel abstellen kann, falls ich eine mehrtägige Tour machen würde.

对不起这低价格，比其他青旅贵，就是玩概念，有个户外的感觉，有吊床，但是住宿条件一般，入住了2晚，热水器坏了，不及时修，害得大家没热水澡洗，后来都走了。没有微波炉，冰箱，你只能睡觉，其他便宜的青旅都有这些
