Walk to this Special Lakeside Inn through a Wonderland of Fountains
Alpine style hotel beside a magical little lake on the outskirts of a small, charming West Ukrainian town. Sapsan is a five minute taxi ride from Ternopil center but it’s the joy of walking along the lake waterfront to and from the city that makes Sapsan such a wonderful location. The fountain lined pedestrian walkway is a total joy to stroll. The series of fountains and water features are colour changing floodlit turning the lakeside into a night-time wonderland. Lilliputian sized ferry boats ply the lake which was created from a reclaimed marsh. They were doing a brisk business. In the morning canoeists emerged through the mists making for little jetties, Ohrid in Macedonia is one of the few cities which offers anything as breath-taking. The inn style hotel is located on the second floor so be prepared for several flights of stairs. There is no lift. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable, we had tea making facilities and a flat screen TV although there was a limited number of channels. Our room had a side view of the lake; the main lake facing rooms were being upgraded. But if you are planning to stay at Sapsan try to book a room with a lake view; there are at least two very spacious suites with great views of the lake which we were show. We got the warmest of welcomes on arriving but staff speak very little English. The hotel also asks to be paid in cash, be prepared. We had a great double room with breakfast for about €40 which was terrific value. The hotel’s restaurant was bustling at night but we wanted to eat in one of Ternopil’s many town center restaurants. Ternopil has a very elegant town square, its train station is just a five minute walk away and it has a wide range of restaurants and cafes. Sapsan though it stands at a distance from the town is a wonderful place to stay in.

excellent hotel
Hotel is located at the side of beautiful lake.20 minutes walking from center to hotel.
Best view for small price!

On the lake!
Hotel is on 3rd floor [no lift], so keep that in mind when booking here. My room looked out on the lake, albeit the windows are small and you have to turn your head to see the lake. Well stocked bathroom! Friendly staff at reception. Cash only here!! Good wifi signal in room. Good breakfast too [options available]. All in all a nice place for a few days for a small price.

Comfortable and courteous
Checked in late on a Saturday and we were warmly welcomed. We had dinner at the hotel and it was very good. The breakfast that came with the hotel was delicious. The view was wonderful and our room was very nice.

Great Hotel, Great Service !!
I have received an upgrade from comfort room with lake view to suite with lake view, without request and without extra charge which is very uncommon in Ukraine (where the common practice is to charge you for every small extra). Irena from the reception was great and helped with every request. Hotel is located at the side of a beautiful lake. Very nice if you like tranquil surroundings. A bit far away from center of city, though (about 20-25 min walking)
