Lovely location,great place, friendly stay

We had a lovely stay while taking part in our fundraising hike up Scafell Pike. Our room was spacious and had everything we needed. The rest of our group, spread across four other rooms, seemed equally pleased with their accommodation.
Our only minor criticism was that the bed in Room 4 was quite squeaky whenever either of us turned over, which meant we occasionally disturbed each other's sleep. We both felt rather tired after the two nights. The pillows were also quite flat, so they may be due for replacement.
The service and hospitality throughout our stay were excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the food was delicious. The bar had a great atmosphere, and the outdoor areas were lovely places to relax with a drink after a long hike. Parking was ample, and the facilities were easily accessible.
Thank you for a wonderful stay – we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

A splendid experience. Even with your Mum,

A joyous experience. Early week staffing but excellent staff and food.
Great atmosphere, smashing pub,
Not one if you’re theatre-bound but that likelihood is slim. Unless lyou enjoy the theatre of the staff and other patrons.

My first solo trip and I’m so glad I chose to stay here. Lovely and friendly staff. Clean room. Amazing pizzas and a great location if you’re wanting to climb Scafell Pike. I look forward to coming back!

The rooms was spot on staff was amazing and friendly food is the best best fish ive ever had amazing beer would happly go again n highly recommended
